Putting a spotlight on the performing arts
The National Arts Centre (NAC) is Canada’s home for the performing arts. The NAC presents, creates, produces, and co-produces programming across various disciplines including dance, theatre, and music. They are strong supporters and nurturers of the next generation of artists from across Canada.
Banfield has been the Agency of Record for the NAC’s Advertising since 2022, and I have played a key role as the lead writer on this account since 2024. I worked with Art Director Katrin Emery to build campaigns, sub brands, posters, digital ad copy, video spots, and more. Below are some campaigns that I had the privilege of working on.

Your stage, all summer long
Summer at the National Arts Centre looks a little different from what they do the rest of the year. The days are longer, the venues move into their sun-soaked terrace, and the programming takes on an undeniably relaxed vibe.
To celebrate five years of summer programming, they approached Banfield to create a campaign that reflected community in Ottawa, breezy golden hour vibes, and a state of unwind to match their diverse lineup of accessible programming aimed at bringing their audiences together.
For this year's instalment, we evolved its summer brand—creating an engaging creative campaign that captures the energy, inclusivity, and excitement of the season. To reinforce the NAC as a community hub this summer for arts, culture, and connection, I developed the tagline Your stage, all summer long to let audiences know they're welcome to share the space, feel at home, and unwind.
This campaign came to life through traditional OOH, various paid media channels including meta platforms, PMAX, banners, Spotify placements, and the NAC's lantern on the exterior of their building.
